Prolation commenced its journey in 1999 as an incubatee of Speech Desk. The objective of our R&D was to create a light and a portable means of allowing two-way speech interaction with web assets. The company founders have an entrepreneurial flair and were guided by seasoned experts and luminaries in the speech recognition world. The result of this R&D was carried on to achieve interaction with telephony systems – VoIP or traditional telephony. This is a part of the foundation of the technology we offer today.
The technology as presented in this business plan is being productized to meet the new-age demand of instant reach and interactivity with the aim of enhancing communications, customer services and sales of SMB vendors. Our system provides our customers with unprecedented features and an array of productivity tools, at a small monthly fee.
The adoption of VoIP based tools has increased in the SMB segment – “Small and medium enterprises accounted for approximately 73% of Hosted IP lines installed in 2004”. This is viewed as an opportune time for the nimble SMB to seize and retain customers, and the technology offering a means of reacting with a greater degree of urgency and immediacy.
On the supply side of VoIP applications for businesses, there is a dearth of solution providers. Vendors that do address the SMB market are focused on ‘pushing boxes’ that provide high-ticket package of IP PBX, SIP Phones, etc. “Savatar has found that awareness and interest in VoIP services is high among SMBs, but incumbent providers are not yet responsive, and their sales forces are certainly not well prepared to effectively address the market.
